Swing Shift Laser Machine Operator

Job Summary: A Laser Operator is responsible for operating the machine and devices used for laser purposes. Cutting sheets of metal with laser device, also setting up and adjust the machine to meet the correct specification. Must ensure that there will be no issues before and after operating the laser device by routinely checking the equipment. Must monitoring and do inventory of instruments and tools required if there are operations or whenever they are required.

Pay Rate: $19.00 to $24.00/hr, depending on experience. Swing shift pays $3.50/hr shift differential
Job Location: West Jordan
Shift: 3:00pm - 2:00am, Monday-Thursday. May need to train on days before starting on swing, all depends on experience. Supervisor would determine in interview
Responsibilities: Applicants could be required to do any of the following:

• Perform typical laser cutting operations.
• Select proper cutting programs, and proper fixtures.
• Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Perform prescribed maintenance as required.
• Perform all dimensional inspections.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.

Qualifications :

• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• 1 year of laser operator experience.
• Training in general safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, foreign object damage, awareness and quality system awareness.
