We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to support Amazon's Core Shopping business, which is responsible for the shopping experiences and systems that enable every customer to discover, evaluate, and select products and services. You will partner with teams developing customer-facing initiatives that directly impact the shopping experience. The person serving in this role will provide legal guidance on new feature and product development; advise on complex issues, including AI models and privacy and regulatory matters; and counsel on key strategic initiatives. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Support business leaders as lead counsel on new product and feature launches
  2. Advise on complex issues, including AI models and privacy and regulatory matters
  3. Provide day-to-day, customer-focused advice
  4. Work effectively across business, department, and cross-functional stakeholders
  5. Occasional travel required

Basic Qualifications

  1. 10+ years of legal experience
  2. Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
  2. Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent
