TalentCraft is currently partnering with a pharmaceutical company based in the Chicago area who are looking for a highly skilled Senior Scientist specializing in Bioanalytical Chemistry to join their research and development team. In this pivotal role, you will drive innovation in understanding drug behavior within biological systems by developing and applying advanced bioanalytical techniques. The ideal candidate brings significant expertise in the analysis of biological samples using mass spectrometry and other high-throughput analytical methods. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate bioanalytical methods for quantitative analysis of biological samples, ensuring accuracy, sensitivity, and reproducibility.
- Apply advanced mass spectrometry techniques to support pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and toxicological studies.
- Design and execute experiments, analyzing complex data to provide insights into drug candidate pharmacokinetics and metabolism.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pharmacologists, toxicologists, and medicinal chemists, to integrate bioanalytical data into drug development.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of bioanalytical instruments, ensuring optimal performance for high-throughput analyses.
Required Skills and Experience:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- For Ph.D. candidates: 5+ years of postdoctoral experience in bioanalytical chemistry.
- For M.S. candidates: 10+ years of experience in bioanalytical chemistry; pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience with LC/MS-MS and other high-throughput analytical techniques for analyzing biological samples in complex matrices (e.g., serum, tissue, tumor).
- Experience with bottom-up proteomics workflows and analysis of peptide-based modalities is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in developing and validating bioanalytical methods for drug development.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on presenting complex scientific data.
