Your expertise and creativity as a Business Development Manager will help us to continue to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

You will be responsible for cultivating a high-performing sales culture while strategically aligning team talent with the company's growth objectives and being a role model for building and maintaining strong client relationships. This role involves recruiting and developing a top-talent sales team, leveraging data-driven insights to shape the sales strategies for IT and digital marketing services, and upholding our core values to enhance Commerce Pundit's brand perception. Additionally, you will ensure the effective implementation of our sales approach, oversee operational functions, and ensure compliance with company policies. The goal is to position our digital services, including eCommerce platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Magento, Custom IT solutions, and digital marketing services such as PPC, SEO, and social media, as the preferred choice for businesses. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional client experience that drives increased sales, profitability, and long-term customer loyalty. You will be required to be in our Duluth, GA office on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive New Business: Lead efforts to secure new clients, expanding the company's portfolio and market presence
  • Sales Process Design: Develop and standardize the sales process to ensure consistency and efficiency across the team
  • GTM Strategy: Research, plan, and implement new go-to-market strategies to penetrate new markets and drive growth
  • Lead Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle, from closing leads to nurturing them through the sales process
  • Client Needs Assessment: Understand client requirements and deliver tailored solutions that meet their business objectives
  • Solution Development: Organize and create compelling proof of concept demonstrations that address client challenges
  • Strategic Planning: Think strategically to set objectives that align with the company's vision and foster business expansion
  • Proposal Development: Develop detailed quotes and proposals for prospective clients, ensuring all tasks are tracked and managed
  • RFP and Documentation: Manage the creation, processing, and documentation of RFPs, RFQs, and POCs for clients
  • Team and Goal Management: Set ambitious goals for the business development team and develop strategies to achieve them
  • Industry Engagement: Identify and attend key conferences and industry events to build relationships and explore new opportunities
  • Client Networking: Develop and expand corporate client relationships through strategic networking and marketing initiatives
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver sales presentations that effectively pitch products, services, and solutions to clients
  • Client Requirements Analysis: Assess client business needs to determine the suitability of proposed products and solutions
  • Technical Support: Provide answers to technical questions from clients and liaise with technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered effectively
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in eCommerce, Digital Marketing Sales, or a related field
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • Proficient in creating visually compelling PowerPoint presentations
  • Expertise in Bid Management and Pre-sales processes, with a track record of delivering high-quality proposals
  • Deep understanding of Market Analytics, Intelligence, and specific industry knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and digital marketing services
  • Proven success in new client acquisition and business development
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage project placements, and achieve revenue targets
  • Leverage existing relationships to open new business opportunities
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills

Schedule Expectations

  • Willing to travel domestically for client visits, sales conferences, and trade shows; approximately 10% to 25%
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a full-time, salary and commission based, exempt position that predominantly operates from a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
