Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering to join an exciting client in the food manufacturing space. This is a family-owned organization who was recently acquired and is on the cusp of exciting growth. The correct person will be proficient with CAD and/or SOLIDWORKS. The role is on-site, 5-days per week in Windsor, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and perform analysis to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical designs.
• Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed drawings and models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specification.
• Prototype and test mechanical designs, analyzing results and iterating as necessary to achieve desired performance objectives.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues throughout the product development lifecycle, implementing effective solutions to address challenges.
• Hands on direct involvement in R&D and manufacturing.
• Working with technologies of heat transfer and gas combustion with a strong understanding of the underlying principles and application involved.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relatable.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping, preferably in a manufacturing setting with sheet metal.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks,) for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of related heat transfer and gas combustion.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs using correct ergonomic posture.

Compensation :

• $75,000 - $85,000 annually
