Staffing Solutions Enterprises in partnership with our client is looking to hire level 4 CNC operators to work out of their Cleveland facility.
Salary: $25-32 hourly
Job Description:
Develop programs for CNC mills and lathe using Mastercam. Tryout new CNC programs. Edit CNC
programs at the machine console to optimize feeds and speeds as required. Ensure that all edits are
archived on the computer network so that setups can be duplicated on future runs of parts. Develop
setup sheets for parts to supplement CNC programs. Calculate feeds and speed for manual machine tools.
Use the Machinery Handbook or Online references to apply information to solve machining problems.
Work to improve efficiency in machining process by recommending new cutting tools and inserts.
Constantly strive to reduce cycle time.
Set up manual and CNC mills and lathes. Direct Machinist I, II and III regarding setup, running parts and
troubleshooting processes. Teach same so that they can learn the essential elements of the
programming job.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Mastery of shop math including geometry and trigonometry.
2. Mastery of blueprint reading.
3. Ability to lead and teach others
4. Thorough knowledge of G and M code used for CNC Mill and Turning Center
5. Thorough knowledge of computers and CAM software used for offline programming
6. Ability to advise engineering and quality on optimum methods to design parts for manufacturing
7. Ability to create, set up and troubleshoot new CNC programs until producing quality parts
