Aquatic is a quantitative trading and investment company recently launched by Jon Graham. Prior to founding Aquatic, Jon was a Partner and Senior Managing Director at Citadel, where he worked for more than 13 years. At Citadel, Jon held numerous senior positions over the years, including head of Statistical Arbitrage and Equity High Frequency, culminating in leading the highly successful Global Quantitative Strategies business.
Aquatic develops systematic investment strategies, enabled by a leading-edge research and development platform. The vision is simple: to build a world class, quantitative trading company with a collaborative team of highly capable researchers and engineers.
Quantitative researchers face material challenges to rapidly iterate on research and ship it to production. There are a number of tools and segmented workflows that make the ability to generate new research results difficult, especially in the face of an ever evolving open source community.
At Aquatic, we are looking for an experienced individual to help scale our machine learning platform to address these inefficiencies and make it simpler to deliver and trade research. This role will require someone to understand the underlying infrastructure (e.g., compute architecture involving GPUs, filesystem storage architecture) through to the software development & research engineering that is required to change the way researchers build and deploy quantitative trading models.
As a Research Business Manager, you will be the product manager for all of the above in partnership with our Head of Research and our CTO.
