General Summary
The City of Richland Public Works Department is looking for a well-qualified Engineering Technician III to join our Design Group:
Target Hiring Range: $34.47 - $41.36 Hourly (DOQ)
GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs intermediate technical work in the fields of roadway and utility design engineering, utility locating, or construction inspection, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the division/department manager (supervisor).
Design Group: Performs office engineering and design related work on Public Works projects including AutoCAD / Civil 3D design work.

Minimum Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Associates Degree in engineering technology, CADD or related field and five (5) years experience in civil engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology, construction inspection, or utility projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desirable Qualifications
Selection will be based on overall qualifications, skills testing (if applicable) and an interview process. Final candidate selected will be subject to a comprehensive background/reference check and pre-employment physical commensurate to the position.

- Valid driver's license.
- Obtain Flagger Certification within six (6) months of hire and maintain for duration in position.
Associates Degree in engineering technology, CADD or related field and five (5) years experience in civil engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology, construction inspection, or utility projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desirable Qualifications
- Recent civil design experience using Civil3d to produce utility and roadway construction plans consistent with City standards and best engineering practices.
