Summary:

The Estimator is tasked with driving revenue growth by converting leads into signed contracts and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Responsibilities include scheduling homeowner visits, generating leads through various channels, meeting with homeowners to understand their needs, presenting tailored solutions, and completing contracts. Additionally, the Estimator collaborates with team members, liaises with insurance adjusters, and provides feedback for improving revenue opportunities. Adherence to safety protocols and occasional travel for storm events are also part of the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and executes a schedule of planned visits to homeowners. Works with the Sales Schedulers to ensure his/her calendar is current and openings are visible.
  • Meets with homeowners to discuss needs and inspects the area of the home to determine solutions.
  • Presents solutions and overcomes objections to close deals.
  • Completes contracts and ensures all work is documented.
  • Organizes follow-up systems with customers and updates sales statuses.
  • Assists in arranging financing.
  • Generates leads through various channels.
  • Participates in trade and home shows.
  • Provides feedback to the Marketing and Production Departments.
  • Submits information necessary for commission calculations.
  • Seeks to improve productivity and results daily.
  • Follows all Company safety rules and operating procedures.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

  • A degree from an accredited 4-year college or university with a major in business, marketing, or a related field, or a high school degree with significant sales and industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of selling experience in the home building, remodeling, or renovation markets.
  • Strong selling skills, including active listening and closing deals.
  • Ability to understand and work with contracts for construction services.
  • Understanding of home insurance and claims processes.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Computer skills using a service-oriented CRM system.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Perseverance in pursuing solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Desirable personal traits including honesty and integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to construction services.
  • No restrictions preventing work in the US.

Physical demands:
The ability to walk around an office, warehouse, or neighborhood, climb and descend stairs, work in a seated position at a desk for hours at a time, stand at a trade/home show for hours, drive to and from offsite meetings, operate computers and phones, and safely climb on roofs.
