**Job Title:** Radiology Technologist
**Job Specialty:** Diagnostic Radiology
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour night shift (6 PM - 6 AM)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** One year post-certification experience required
**License:** LRT Kansas LRT, required
**Certifications:**
- ARRT-R Required: Registered Technologist, Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT)
- BLS: Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
**Must-Have:**
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging, including Surgery and Trauma.
- Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
- Proficiency in English (Read, Write, Speak)
**Job Description:**
- Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department.
- Produce high-quality images and exams while adhering to safe radiation practices.
- Demonstrate leadership and serve as a role model for associate technologists.
- Act as a clinical resource to students, staff technologists, and other hospital personnel.
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for self and others.
- Prepare patients for exams and provide necessary information and instruction.
- Assist and position patients during exams, observing equipment and patient conditions.
- Facilitate smooth patient flow and optimize use of equipment/resources.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and staff.
- Assist with patient transport and perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and supplies used during exams.
- Prepare rooms, equipment, and exam materials as needed.
- Maintain equipment operation and notify service or supervisor of any problems.
- Keep work area clean and document quality checks and maintenance per procedures.
- Engage in problem identification and resolution in collaboration with management.
- Cultivate positive relationships with physicians, staff, and departments.
- Pursue ongoing education and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Participate in the clinical education of students and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage in professional activities and demonstrate a positive attitude toward the profession.
- Actively participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Contribute to accreditation processes as required.
- Demonstrate effective time management and adaptability to change.
- Float assignments may be required within sixty (60) miles of the primary location, potentially involving duties outside of the original assignment.
