Job Requirements / Description

CORPORATE ACCOUNTING AND SEC REPORTING MANAGER:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Coordination and preparation of all SEC filings including 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, 11-K, proxy material and annual reports. All reporting must be completed within the requisite time frame.
  2. Ownership of the preparation, accuracy, completion and timeliness of external financial statements and disclosures.
  3. Routine accounting close activities may include review of consolidated balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
  4. Responsible for maintaining and updating general accounting policies.
  5. Ensure compliance with all GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting requirements, as well as federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
  6. Monitor, evaluate and influence progress toward departmental goals.
  7. Research and draft technical memoranda to present a strategy on proposed or new accounting and SEC regulations that may impact the company.
  8. Interact closely with the external auditors and legal counsel.
  9. Develop and implement best practices in SEC reporting function.
  10. Perform other functions and duties as needed and/or required.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with at least 8 years experience in accounting with experience in public accounting a strong plus. Minimum of 2 years in a SEC reporting role.
  2. CPA designation desirable.
  3. Prior preparation of SEC filings including Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 8-K and proxy statements.
  4. Thorough understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  5. Strong computer skills required – experience with Microsoft Office applications, accounting software systems and forecasting/budgeting tools.
  6. Ability to perform well under pressure and in a high-volume and changing environment.
  7. Demonstrates consistency, flexibility, and commitment to meet deadlines.
  8. Self-starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  9. Effective ability to leverage team and drive results.
  10. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality.
  11. Supervisor experience required.

Salary - 90-95k
