Kenda Tire is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our sales team and drive the growth of our tire division. The Sales Director will develop and implement strategic sales plans, manage key accounts, and lead a high-performing sales team. This role requires a proven track record in sales leadership, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the tire industry.

This position is commission-eligible.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with at least five years in a leadership role within the tire industry or a related bicycle sector.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the tire market, including product knowledge, market dynamics, and customer needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with customers and attend industry events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth. Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and create action plans to capitalize on them.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Key Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts, including distributors, retailers, and OEM partners. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through excellent service and support.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Kenda's market presence. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee the sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Use this knowledge to inform sales strategies and product development.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations and manage contracts with key customers. Ensure favorable terms and conditions that align with Kenda's business goals.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
