Job Description
Are you passionate about software development and eager to work with cutting-edge technologies? The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG), Division of Administrative Services, is seeking a skilled Full Stack .NET Software Developer to join our dynamic team and drive our projects to success.
What you will be doing:
- Develop new and maintain existing web applications as part of a small team of .NET developers.
- Assist with the modernization of existing desktop applications into a Microsoft web-based environment.
- Participate in the migration and maintenance of applications to Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Collaborate with teammates using Azure DevOps to gather system requirements and architect solutions.
- Work closely with team members to develop new division technology standards and services.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a candidate that has experience in the following areas:
- Experience in C# with the ASP.NET Framework.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Ability to communicate technical issues and ideas verbally and in writing to an audience of all technical levels.

Minimum Qualifications
Six years of computer programming experience, of which, at least two years were at the project leader or systems design level. This is equivalent to an Analyst/Programmer 4 with the State of Alaska. Two years of experience must have been in a business application, scientific application, microcomputer or computer information management support specialty. The specialized experience may be gained concurrently.
Substitution:
A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester/(24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for one year of the required experience. An associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience in a specialty area. There is no substitute for the systems analysis and design or project leadership experience.
