Purchasing and Import Analyst

The Purchasing and Import Analyst monitors and evaluates Elite Spice’s supply chain performance and uses data to improve processes. Acting as a liaison between the company and its suppliers, the Supply Chain Analyst may be responsible for researching fair prices, negotiating deals, and optimizing inventory levels.  

Position Description :

Performs any combination of (but not limited to) the following duties:

• Facilitates demand and material forecasting
• Assisting in selecting and qualifying spice vendors
• Negotiating terms and conditions with vendors
• Maintaining purchasing records
• Reporting costs for inventory and pricing purposes
• Responsible for spice import logistics including contract follow up, shipment follow up and claims
• Monitoring progress of shipments
• Creating and maintaining cost and analysis spreadsheets for all spices and inventory
• Maintaining good working relationships with vendors and brokers
• Interacting with various departments including manufacturing, sales, quality control and technical services
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience :

• Bachelors’ degree required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative position. Purchasing , Imports , Supply Chain experience – an advantage.
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry a plus
