Manhead is a worldwide, full service, merchandise and experiential company catering to the music and entertainment industries with offices in Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles. For over thirteen years, Manhead has succeeded as one of the leading, independently owned music/entertainment merchandise companies, specializing in touring, e-commerce, creative, retail, licensing, collaborations, and pop-up shops. We are seeking a Vice President of E-Commerce.


The Vice President of E-Commerce will focus on the strategic management and development of our online sales and digital commerce initiatives as we offer them to our artists. Manhead provides a full suite of merchandise offerings to over 80 artists including a strong E-Commerce platform.

The primary responsibility of the VP of E-Commerce is to drive revenue growth and optimize our online business operations. The role of a VP of E-Commerce involves overseeing various aspects of the Manhead and our artists’ online presence, including the design and functionality of the e-commerce website, online marketing and advertising efforts, customer experience and user interface, analytics and data analysis, and online sales performance.

You will report directly to Manhead’s General Manager. You will be accountable for the e-commerce strategy, sales, and relationship management. Your responsibilities will include delivering revenue through brand and business strategies, online marketing, merchandising, user experience, digital product development, and site operations.

You will oversee a team to execute day-to-day online operations and monitor key performance metrics (e.g., conversion, traffic, AOV, UPT). Collaborating with various teams and partners, you will ensure a branded online experience that reflects our artists’ position and exceeds consumer expectations. Proven experience and ability to work with merchandising, planning, SEO, site merchandising, digital product, and digital marketing is critical to deepen customer engagement and integrating the overall brand strategy


Job Responsibilities include:


Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the company’s E-Commerce strategy to drive revenue growth
  • Partner cross-functionally to influence product vision and strategy to ensure a balance between business needs and technological capabilities
  • Anticipate future consumer trends and use market developments to trial and test new E-Commerce concepts and technologies, incorporating findings to evolve the path forward
  • Assess the current systems, processes, and talent to determine opportunities to strengthen processes, ensure feedback loops on performance insights, and capture and incorporate real-time regional customer trends, data, and insights into E-Commerce decision-making


Product:

  • Create seasonal strategies for key shopping events and sales tactics, ensuring alignment with artist and Manhead growth goals
  • Manage online assortment, promotions, pricing, and content presentation
  • Enhance customer engagement and conversion, minimize service issues, and optimize inventory
  • Manage and optimize third party logistics fulfillment partnership and web development partner


Marketing:

  • Lead online marketing efforts, including SEO, PPC advertising, and social media campaigns
  • Create and evaluate test programs to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
  • Oversee budget allocation to maximize marketing opportunities and ROI
  • Develop and manage customer acquisition and retention strategies
  • Analyze sales data and implement strategies to optimize online sales conversion rates
  • Implement seasonal online marketing calendars that integrate sales and marketing initiatives


Team Leadership:

  • Build and maintain a high-performance team and culture through open and clear communications, ongoing mentoring and development, and effective performance management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team focused on consumer centricity, e-commerce excellence, and accountability
  • Foster a culture of empowerment, rapid execution, and a fail-fast approach
  • Align direct reports and cross-functional teams with the vision and goals of the organization
  • Lead a team responsible for development, online marketing, planning, product development and analytics


Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of forward-thinking, strategy-focused E-Commerce work, specifically in marketing, DTC, wholesale, and branding for consumer-centric brands, and leadership roles
  • B2C expertise in corporate and entrepreneurial environments
  • Well-versed in High Growth Environments
  • Music industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or relevant field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Significant experience in leading large-scale business transformation
  • Team player with strong lateral collaboration skills and influence capabilities
