YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Human Resource Partner, Crop Science, are to:
- Provide leadership and coordination for Human Resource activities;
- Be the trusted advisor to our client groups, anticipating their needs and crafting realistic, business-aligned solutions;
- Dive deep into the business, translating its needs and challenges into actionable HR initiatives;
- Implement and champion Bayer HR directives, policies, and programs;
- Develop and monitor workforce plans, partnering with recruiting and hiring managers;
- Execute local Talent Management initiatives to attract and develop talent;
- Support management in crafting employee development plans;
- Provide direction on performance management and improvement plans;
- Partner with client groups to develop career paths;
- Effectively communicate HR products, services, and policies;
- Work closely with Legal to ensure compliance with employment laws;
- Support and execute organizational changes from an HR perspective;
- Leverage data and HR dashboards to influence decision making;
- Provide special project support to HR, employees, and leaders as needed.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Strong coaching skills and the ability to influence without authority;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision;
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues;
- Ability to apply HR knowledge to resolve complex business challenges;
- Experience in managing and implementing large organizational redesigns;
- In-depth knowledge of HR processes, programs, policies, and systems;
- Experience in multi-disciplinary project management and change management;
- Experience working in a global environment is a plus;
- Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and change;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Experience in performing employee relations and investigations;
- Willingness to travel to other locations (~10%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of HR experience, including roles as HR Business Partner/Generalist/Specialist;
- Experience supporting manufacturing or supply chain is a plus;
- Experience working in a Union environment highly desirable.
