Perform prototype work from detailed specifications. Exercise considerable care of equipment, tools, parts, machines, and materials to prevent damage.Interpret drawings, and route sheets to ascertain nature of assigned work orders.Compute accurate mathematical dimensions needed to manufacture parts of average complexity. Use precision measuring instruments.Perform quality machining of various types of materials as needed.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership to lower level CNC/Machinists including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience:Vocational or Technical Certificate in related field and at a minium of 5 years of directly related experienceAbility to use shop mathematics, drawings and measuring tools.Must have the ability to use various machinist measuring toolsMust maintain a 5S work station in a team environmentOther Skills and AbilitiesBasic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/KaizenKnowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
