Job Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for identifying, evaluating and capturing new business opportunities and establishing relationships with potential customers for commercial and government segments. Informs customers of new products and services as they are introduced and recommends products and services that fit well with customer business needs. Provides ongoing support to customers ensuring they receive high quality customer service. Provides timely reporting of customer feedback to Company Management.
  2. Manages business development activities for markets and captures new business to support company financial health through new business growth.
  3. Identifies new business opportunities through customer and industry contacts.
  4. Responsible for managing the growth of customer relationships for assigned customers within specific market segments.
  5. Responsible for the development and execution of growth strategies for assigned customers.
  6. Builds successful business relationships by delivering a value proposition that is attractive to both customers and prospective business partners.
  7. Develops, maintains and builds a strong professional network and customer relationships.
  8. Coordinates company resources in the pursuit and capture of new work.
  9. Develops capture plans for specific targets that address opportunities, preferred approaches, competitive analyses and business fundamentals.
  10. Identifies teaming partners, develops teaming agreements and obtains appropriate internal support and approvals.
  11. Negotiates teaming agreements, scopes of work, contract types and business models that are consistent with the company’s risk profile and that result in favorable financial outcomes.
  12. Gathers market and customer intelligence.
  13. Oversees account executive business development activities to ensure account executives are pursuing sales within existing contract vehicles and are being provided with new products to sell, as applicable.
  14. Manages proposal budgets for target segments.
  15. Responsible for the content of proposals developed.
  16. Manages and supports proposal activities in winning new contracts for the company.
  17. Coordinates with division leaders within operations functions in developing proposals.
  18. Responsible for obtaining necessary approvals on all proposals prior to their submittal.
  19. Handles proposal delivery to customers and interfaces with all customers on requests and issues.
  20. Understands, in broad terms, customer contracts and business planning activities. Engages corporate resources to ensure contract terms and conditions are appropriately handled.
  21. Communicates and engages company technical experts to develop solutions to customer challenges.
  22. Has responsibility for a business/market segment.
  23. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Years of Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree required in business, engineering or a relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent experience

Certifications

Completion of project management courses preferred

Required Experience

  1. A minimum of 7 years of combined technical and business development/industry-related experience
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience with industry projects and/or facility operations
  3. A minimum of 2 years of experience with project management and an understanding of project management-based systems and proposal development

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in the nuclear industry
