Job Summary:
The Procurement Material Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day procurement operations and assisting with the implementation and control of inventory protocols as needed. This role requires effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of purchasing strategies, inventory management systems, and the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue purchase requisitions and supplier agreements.
- Collaborate with production schedules to forecast materials by analyzing inventory needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and communicate any concerns or issues to the manager.
- Act as a liaison between internal project teams and suppliers to maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other pertinent data using internal systems.
- Communicate material delays to relevant departments and work to resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze work orders and suggest process improvements by outlining, communicating, and verifying actions.
- Assist senior management in developing and implementing sourcing strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing strategies and inventory management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.
- Must meet the qualifications of a "U.S. Person" as defined in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or individuals granted asylum.

- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management.
- Understanding of company goals and objectives to align procurement strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn additional company software.
Location: Hybrid (In-office at least 3 days a week; required to be in-office M-F for the first month)
