Responsibilities
· Directly assist Operation Supervisor on the day-to-day shipping, receiving duties and pass down notes between
shifts.
· Coordinate driver routes and dispatching and re-set as needed.
· Must be able to set priorities and re-set as needed.
· Must be able to work with minimal direction.
· Provide follow-up and completion of tasks and deadlines for shipping and receiving.
· Ability to analyze problems/issues and to identify and implement solutions independently.
· Ability to maintain professional interdepartmental working relationships, identify priorities and organize daily
assignments.
· Receive and input customer orders into Produce Broker immediately.
· Receive Lot into Produce Brokers and communicate shortages to sales team.
· Review and issue any approved customer credits in a timely manner.
· Supply drivers with customer invoices and manifest.
· Coordinate and assign back-hauls.
· Operate and have a working knowledge of various office equipment and programs.
· Maintain all confidential information in an appropriate manner.
Qualifications
· AA Degree or equivalent a plus
· Flexible schedule – overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
· Able to work within a temperature environment.
· Collaborative skills for positive conflict management
· Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in a shipping and receiving office)
· Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience coordinating driver routes and dispatching
· Computer Literate - Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, Spreadsheets and PowerPoint
· Office environment (sitting at desk eighty percent (80%) of the day)
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· Must be able to multitask and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
· Must be organized and a self-starter.
· Above average typing skills
· High energy
· Must be able to prioritize, take initiative, be resourceful and a problem solver.
· Bi-lingual a plus
· Able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
· Occasional driving requires up-to-date car insurance.
