Job Summary

Under the direction of management and physician leadership, the Senior Medical Assistant performs and oversees functions related to the clinical activities, including maintaining patient flow, assisting in the delivery of primary and preventative health care, performing technical procedures, and collaborating with the clerical staff to optimize operations and patient flow.

Essential Functions

• Acts as an assistant to the physician/provider by providing primary healthcare and patient care management.
• Collaborates work efforts with the clerical staff to optimize operations and patient flow.
• Interacts with outside healthcare facilities and agencies involving patient care and insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited MA program, including a clinical rotation, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year (12 months) MA experience; or completed CH MA internship and (6) months MA experience; or completed CH MA apprenticeship program required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
