Senior Software Development Engineer – C++ and Python

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Senior Software Developer will be responsible for key areas of Software Development in Altair HyperWorks NVH Director.
- Implement new features in NVH Director and NVH Core Framework.
- Design, Develop and execute unit test scripts and test cases for existing and new features in the product.
- Interact with Software Development Managers and Program Managers to design and implement business requirements.
- Document the design changes and participate in design/code reviews.
- Interact and assist QA team to understand new features being implemented.
- Accomplish the tasks in a timely manner following Software development process, with high quality.
Qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical, Computer Science, Automobile, Aerospace or Civil Engineering.
Must Have experience:
- Strong Academic track record
- Software Development experience in C++, TCL/TK, C, COM on Windows/LINUX platform.
- Good knowledge of Data structures and Algorithms
- Object Oriented Design and UML
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ready to work in dynamic environment and on different technologies
- Should be able to deliver assignments with high quality while adhering to schedule
Desired Skills:
- Experience/Knowledge in Engineering Noise & Vibrations Analysis like Modal Analysis, Frequency Response Analysis, Transfer Path Analysis, Engine Order Analysis, etc.
- Software Development Design and Customization Development experience of Altair HyperWorks using C/C++/TCL/TK
- Experience at Noise Vibrations and Harness Group in Automotive OEM is a big plus.
