As an EIT, you will be involved with the design of local roadways, highways, multi-use paths and traffic control systems, and will work with our team of recognized industry experts.Your Role:Design of highway, arterial and local roadway improvements.Design of public infrastructure components such as drainage and water/wastewater systems.Performs a variety of engineering tasks, including development of roadway geometry, signing, pavement marking, drainage and maintenance of traffic plansPerform 3D Modeling using ORD and civil 3D design softwaresPrepare estimated quantity calculations and cost estimatesPreparation of engineering documents, plans, and specifications for contractors to build from.Assist in the development of project design and construction schedulesPerform site visits to support the field engineering and design processPrepare design alternative evaluation studies and technical reports.Participation in public involvement, public meetings, networking and client interface.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering (transportation focus is a plus)Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification, preferredValid Driver's License with an acceptable driving recordExperience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is preferredProficient with Microsoft software, to include Word and ExcelThis position may require periodic travel, approximately 15% or moreAbout Tetra TechTetra Tech combines the resources of a global, multibillion-dollar company with local, client-focused delivery in more than 550 locations around the world.
