We are seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to be our first account management hire, focusing on managing relationships with top-tier clients, including 3 of the top 5 US banks, as well as new customers in the banking and investment management sectors.


Job Description : As the first Account Manager - Strategic Accounts in our organization, you will play a pivotal role in developing and managing key customer relationships. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our growth strategy, managing relationships with our most critical clients while laying the foundation for future account management best practices. You’ll work directly with senior leadership and have the chance to shape the future of the account management function within our company.


Key Responsibilities :

Client Relationship Management :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for 3 of the top 5 US banks, along with other key accounts in the banking and investment management industries.
  • Develop, nurture, and strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers at each account.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to ensure client satisfaction and long-term engagement.


Upselling & Cross-Selling :

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling new products, features, and services that align with the client’s business objectives.
  • Partner with sales and product teams to customize solutions and expand product usage across client organizations.
  • Meet or exceed sales and revenue targets by driving expansion within key accounts.


Customer Success & Retention :

  • Proactively manage customer health by identifying potential risks and resolving issues before they escalate.
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction by collecting feedback and implementing actionable strategies to enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure timely contract renewals, minimizing churn and securing long-term relationships.


Account Strategy & Planning :

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth, increase customer engagement, and deliver measurable results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align product development, support, and marketing efforts with client needs.
  • Ensure account goals and performance metrics are met, regularly reporting on progress and outcomes.


Product Knowledge & Advocacy :

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our SaaS solutions and how they meet the evolving needs of the banking and investment management sectors.
  • Train clients on new product features and updates, driving increased usage and value realization.
  • Advocate for client needs internally, ensuring product roadmaps align with client priorities.


Reporting & Analytics :

  • Use data-driven insights to create detailed reports on account performance, revenue growth, and product utilization.
  • Present regular account updates to senior leadership and other internal stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and opportunities.


Process Development & Team Leadership :

  • As the first account management hire, help shape and establish the account management processes, tools, and best practices that will support future growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement scalable account management strategies as the team expands.


Qualifications :

Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or a similar client-facing role, preferably within the SaaS or financial technology sectors.
  • Proven success managing large, complex accounts, particularly within the banking or investment management industries.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales and retention targets.

Skills :

  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, banking, and investment management workflows and needs.
  • Ability to identify client needs and translate them into upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and reporting software, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
