We are seeking a reliable person that presents a positive attitude as well as excellent people and phone skills to join our Omaha Office as an Accounting Trainee - Farm Operations. The individual in this role will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and processing data from documents related our Farm Operations. You’ll work closely with Farm Managers to ensure that reports are accurate and processed timely. Apply today, if this sounds like the perfect fit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process daily income and bills for managed farms including farm manager contact related to ticket processing.
  • Conduct daily, monthly and annual accounting reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Client contact related to account management.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree or 4 years of work experience
  • 1 year of work experience with accounts payable/account receivable
  • Agricultural background helpful, but not required
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel and Word)
  • Knowledge of EnterpriseOne or other database environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 40 pounds
  • Occasionally (5%) travel within specified region to attend company/industry functions as required
