Receptionist
Part-time
The Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing callers to appropriate personnel, greeting visitors in friendly, efficient manner, and perform assigned clerical duties. This position provides support services including opening mail and delivering mail.
Specific duties include:
- Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of call, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
- Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other information.
- Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor visitor's access and issue passes when required.
- Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, mail runs, sorting and opening mail.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Clear, understandable speaking voice.
- Ability to make a favorable first impression.
- General clerical ability.
- Ability to type 40 words per minute.
- Ability to treat all guests in a polite, effective manner.
- Must be PC literate and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 months related experience.
