Aircraft Life Support Specialist oversees the maintenance, inspection, and adjustment of aircrew flight equipment (AFE), including flight helmets, oxygen masks, survival kits, and other essential gear. Responsibilities also include repairing fabric and rubber components, evaluating equipment for repair or replacement, and utilizing various testing equipment for reliability testing. This position requires a minimum of four years' related aircraft/systems experience, with preference for A&P License/FAA Certification. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with graduation from a Navy Parachute Rigger or equivalent course for ALSS system maintenance. Experience with military rotary aviation is preferred, and a Top Secret security clearance is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience.
