The Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT and Harvard is seeking a strong applicant for the position of Research Project Coordinator to help oversee the various projects in the Juelg and Gaiha Labs. The Labs focus on immunotherapeutic strategies to prevent and treat infectious diseases such as HIV, HPV, EBV and SARS-CoV-2 using novel vaccines and monoclonal antibodies.

The PC’s role will be to help provide project oversight and planning support to the PIs, Lab Managers, and Research Fellows, as well as other project collaborators. By serving as a liaison between the various study members, the PC will be responsible for the tracking and distribution of information, the organization of meetings and conference calls, the submission of regulatory and material transfer agreements in addition to other tasks that will ensure all research runs smoothly and effectively. The Project Coordinator will also serve as a primary administrative assistant to Drs. Juelg and Gaiha, managing their schedules and meetings.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and help to manage meetings with agendas, project overviews, reports and action items and maintain infrastructures to enable the rapid dissemination of information
  • Manage Drs. Juelg and Gaiha’s calendar, travel, and activities
  • Provide support to facilitate regulatory submissions to the IRB and Material Transfer Agreement submissions to MGH Research Management
  • Development of budgets and coordinating financial reconciliations/reimbursements
  • Work with financial grant administrator to provide grant documentation for Drs. Juelg and Gaiha
  • Act as liaison between the Juelg/Gaiha Labs and MGH Legal for intellectual property discussions and Drs. Juelg and Gaiha’s annual disclosures
  • Organize and update protocols, procedures, and pertinent literature
  • Manage submission of manuscripts to scientific journals from lab members
  • Supporting hiring, internal onboarding and VISA acquisition
  • Preparation and submission of annual scientific and financial progress reports

Minimum degree and field of knowledge: Bachelor’s Degree

Years experience required: 0-3 years experience, business admin/biological sciences

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • BS/BA required
  • Experience in Microsoft Office is required
  • Independently motivated, detail oriented and good problem-solving ability
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under tight timelines with changing priorities
  • Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize and balance work from multiple individuals
  • Must be willing to learn and grow
  • Works well in team environment, contributing to the success of the team.
  • Strong interpersonal/communications skills, active listening and facilitation skills. Forms effective relationships within the department and is diplomatic when interacting with individuals at all levels
