As a mid-level Logistics Analyst, you will be on a team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new amphibious ships and landing craft to the fleet. Our government support team for this specific opportunity is led by a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager having decades of experience working within the Department of Defense and the Shipbuilding and Repair Industry.
This government support team falls within our high-performing Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation (NASO) which provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy surface ships and craft and is achieving truly impactful outcomes. NASO is part of Serco's Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) business unit. Serco has over 9,000 people in North America, with operations across the U.S. and Canada. This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain an Interim DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.
You will also cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) Gulf Coast, and other stakeholders by offering support and contributing to satisfying current and future Navy and Marine Corps needs for all current and any future Programs/Platforms under the cognizance of the supported Navy Program Executive Office (PEO) Ships’ Amphibious Warfare Program Office (PMS 377). In this role, you will:
- Provide administrative support to the assigned ship or landing craft Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team.
- Verify and review written communication between the ILS Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM), ILS Assistant Program Manager (APM), and supporting field activities.
- Collaborate with government and contractor personnel to develop logistical documentation per contract requirements.
In compliance with local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $62,037.42 to $93,056.69; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Highschool Diploma or GED plus 6+ years relevant ILS experience in an acquisition environment on DoD/Navy Ship or Craft Programs. Individuals with college degrees or technical school or military certifications and less experience will be considered. The 6+ years of relevant ILS experience in an acquisition environment is defined as product support with a life cycle management focus and include activities and aspects that extend across the life cycle in more than one of the “Twelve Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements”, as outlined in Appendix A of the DoD Product Support Manager’s (PSM) Guidebook and the DoD Integrated Product Support Element (IPS) Guidebook.
- A current DoD security clearance or be able to obtain an interim clearance after hire.
- United States (U.S.) citizenship.
- Ability to operate personal computers and have good knowledge and operational abilities with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility. Some work may occur within an industrial field office, outdoors and/or aboard ship while the ship is undergoing construction, alteration, activation, overhaul, repair, and/or underway trials. Walking and climbing throughout the ship, to accomplish ship checks, may be required. Exposure to high noise levels, uncomfortable temperatures, heights, or other industrial safety conditions will require use of personal protective clothing and equipment.
- Ability to travel 10% to support activities in a shipyard or naval facility or onboard ship while underway.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is desired.
- Relevant U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard experience in the ILS areas of ship acquisition, construction or repair is desired. Relevant Amphibious warship ship and/or craft ILS experience is ideal.
- Experience with CDMS, Independent Cost Estimate (ICE), CDMD-OA, and other Navy ILS related software is highly desirable.
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act of 1990 (DAWIA) certification is desired.
