Job Title: CW Functional ECU and Smart Security Design Engineer

Location: Saline, MI

Schedule: 40hrs/Week

Job Description :

Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to work on Body Electronics. The primary responsibility of this role is vehicle development for Body Electronics. Reporting to the Vehicle Development Senior Manager, the person in this role will work to fill Electronic Systems Vehicle’s objective of building a NA electronics center of excellence that complements Toyota Global direction.

What you’ll be doing

• Vehicle application of Functional ECUs (power slide door ECU, power tailgate ECU, Seat ECU, Window ECU, Sunroof ECU, etc.) and Smart Security (Smart ECU, Immobi, antennas, etc.)
• Plan structure and design of Functional ECUs and Smart Security through target setting, packaging and style feasibility that balances performance, customer needs and cost while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Issue design specifications to suppliers and manage supplier schedule, performance and quality
• Manage part list and issue internal design documents including engineering change instructions and wiring specifications

This position will be working a hybrid schedule (T/W/TH working onsite) What you bring

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
• 5 years or more as an electrical design engineer
• Must be able to work up to 30% Overtime
