Our portfolio of high-growth tax and accounting companies is at a stage to bring on a highly experienced Tax Manager to assist the CEO directly in all client-facing and client-related tax and accounting matters to ensure we continue using the highly efficient process we have built that is second to none when it comes to speed, efficiency, and delivering the ultimate client experience. The ideal candidate will be a friendly and personable individual responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities in the organization, meeting or speaking with clients as needed, managing a team of tax preparers and admin staff, and having a strong working knowledge of all software involved, including Lacerte Tax, QBO, and TaxDome. There is room for a qualified tax manager to either bring on (or newly hire with the CEO) one additional senior tax associate to help with the upcoming tax season. Additional Benefits • Lucrative Bonus Structure (to be discussed) • 401(k) matching • Paid time off • Outstanding company culture • Training/education • Health/vision/dental Responsibilities: • Learn and operate in our extremely unique process • Perform tax research on client scenarios as necessary • Review tax returns prepared by staff and coach staff as necessary • Identify opportunities and creative strategies to minimize client taxes • Prepare for and lead tax audits with the IRS, CA FTB, and other agencies as necessary • Keep the team up-to-date on new tax laws as necessary • Assist with additional financial projects for business clients (both recurring and non-recurring) Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of Lacerte required • CPA or EA license required • Ability to be client-facing and run appointments required • Minimum 5+ years' of tax preparation experience • Strong communication and analytical skills • Strong knowledge of QBO preferred • Working knowledge of TaxDome preferred • A Master's degree in taxation preferred Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000 yearly
