Join the MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP), a regionally accredited higher education institution founded by Massachusetts General Hospital and the only degree member of Mass General Brigham. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative, and team-oriented professional with excellent organizational and communication skills to provide account management for a variety of relationships designed to advance the Institute as a national leader in health professions education and research.
The Senior National and Regional Account Manager will be responsible for establishing and growing marketing and enrollment relationships with national and regional hospital systems, regional school districts, and regional medical systems, prioritizing organizations with more than 1,000 employees. The Senior Account Manager needs to be highly customer-focused and experienced in building relationships in healthcare. The focus of the role is organization and Institute to partner organizations, create formal relationships that will involve discounted tuition and marketing within the organization, and develop relationships with key partners at the line manager level where there would be interest in the Institute’s programs and expertise.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Essential Responsibilities (90%)
- Oversee new account development and account management with key national hospital systems, regional hospital systems, regional school districts and regional medical systems.
- Manage the Institute’s Tuition Reduction and Incentive Plan (TRIP) for Mass General Brigham, clinical affiliates, and alumni, including driving collaboration across the cross functional teams at the IHP that are involved in TRIP.
- Build partner strategic and tactical plans to promote the partnership. Relationships will be built at the executive and professional levels.
- Execute on-site information sessions with partners to introduce IHP to relevant audiences and review IHP’s and partner’s educational benefits with the audience.
- Work with marketing to identify key assets needed, which could include webinars, program fliers, white papers, success stories, etc.
- Create IHP’s standard partnership model, which will include a tuition reduction and expected marketing activities to partner employees.
- Establish relationships and help build networks across the Mass General Brigham health system and clinical affiliates focused on clinical placements, workforce development, career services, and continuing education.
- Develop and maintain a system of analyzing and tracking outreach efforts and results, including quality measures and check points on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to ensure plan execution.
- Conduct performance and process improvement activities based on results of data analysis and tracking. Collaborate with campus faculty, staff, and alumni as well as health system colleagues to develop, foster, and maintain partnerships.
2) Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. (10%)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The job is designed as a hybrid role with time based on the Institute’s campus in Boston, MA (Charlestown Navy Yard) and remote work. The job will require regular travel both local, regional, and beyond to execute and manage partnerships. This role requires the employee has ready access to transportation for travel around Boston and the New England region. Travel will include visits to members and affiliates of the Mass General Brigham health system, other healthcare delivery organizations, area businesses and higher education institutions, local government offices, and the like. The role requires flexibility with schedule, and the abilities to prioritize, self-monitor, work collaboratively with others, and track progress of multiple projects. Flexibility with schedule would be expected during work-related travel and participation with community events or other venues for business development (e.g., conferences, conventions, job fairs, business meetings, government briefings, press conferences, etc.).
EDUCATION:
- A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years in higher education (e.g., related to sales or business development), development, marketing, sales, or equivalent industry experience is required.

- Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, capable of building strong client relationships and closing deals. Strong communication skills include written, non-verbal and verbal as well as excellent command of English.

- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry, market trends, and competitive landscape.
