Summary

We are growing our team and are looking for someone to help us lead the way in harnessing artificial intelligence to revolutionize ecommerce. You are a visionary thinker who has a passion for pushing the boundaries of AI to solve complex problems and drive positive change in the world.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Lead the design and development of production applications with latest text, image, and video based Generative AI technologies
  2. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and engineers to define product requirements and success criteria
  3. Conduct research and evaluate state-of-the-art AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to inform architectural decisions and best practices
  4. Design scalable and efficient AI architectures that leverage distributed computing, cloud services, and big data infrastructure
  5. Ensure the security, privacy, and ethical considerations of AI systems, including data governance, compliance, and transparency
  6. Lead technical discussions, provide mentorship, and share expertise with team members to foster a culture of learning and innovation

We’ll be excited if you have

  1. Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, or related STEM field
  2. 5+ years of experience building large-scale production grade AI applications
  3. 3+ years of experience working on model inferencing and training on GPUs
  4. Deep understanding of AI algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, neural networks, and deep learning architectures
  5. Proficiency in Python, extensive experience with CUDA and profiling GPU performance and distributed training runs
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams
  7. Demonstrated ability to operate in a highly innovative and fast-paced workspace and able to make decisions within a dynamic and ever-changing environment
  8. Passion for learning, experimentation, and pushing the boundaries of AI technology to drive innovation
  9. A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

We’ll be even more excited if you have

  1. Experience in prompt engineering and APIs of popular GenAI platforms (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex, MidJourney, etc.)
  2. Experience with lower level multimedia processing and optimizations
  3. Publications and research experience in GenAI

Office Location

As a hybrid office-centric company, we are looking for candidates in the Bay Area.

Compensation

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated pay range for this role is $220,000-$250,000. Other factors that impact compensation include stock options. The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity. Candidates may receive more information from the talent partner.
