Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing all aspects of tax accounting and compliance, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
2. Preparing and reviewing accurate and timely tax returns.
3. Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
4. Managing members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
5. Conducting complex tax research and preparing documentation for ongoing tax projects.
6. Collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
7. Evaluating current tax processes and procedures and making recommendations for improvements.
8. Staying current on tax laws and industry regulations, providing guidance and updates to the team and senior management.
9. Serving as a key contact for tax-related queries, providing expert advice and guidance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax preparation.
3. Strong knowledge of tax regulations and laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
