IT Business Partner

Role Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Business Partner will work closely with Legal and Corporate Affairs/Communications/Sustainability leaders to maximize the impact of IT capabilities on business performance and ensure IT services meet business needs and objectives. Reporting to the Head of Tech & Digital - Enabling Functions Business Partner lead, this person will play a critical role to ensure the Legal and Corporate Affairs/Communications/Sustainability function leverages technology solutions to achieve business objectives.

This position will work closely with other Zoetis Tech & Digital (IT) functions including the Digital, Data & Analytics, IT Compliance, Infrastructure, Operations, Project Management Office along with business colleagues and 3rd party Providers to plan, define and execute all design and development related activities.

• Act as the senior IT advisor to Legal and Corporate Affairs/Communications/Sustainability leadership
• Drive business process improvement and automation using new and existing IT capabilities.
• Identify potential new business capabilities to be enabled and implemented leveraging technology.
• Facilitate and become the liaison for communications between IT and the business.
• Participate in the development of IT business strategies and plans that support the long-term Legal and Corporate Affairs/Communications/Sustainability vision.
• Participate in the enterprise portfolio and budget development process by representing business priorities and objectives.
• Develop, manage, and own approved budget spends, update forecasts and ensure actual expenses are properly captured and accounted throughout project timelines.
• Participate in business leadership team meetings to better understand potential issues or opportunities.
• Develop and manage Legal and Corporate Affairs/Communications/Sustainability project portfolios while providing consistent, open communication with the IT Head of Enabling Functions and Legal and Corporate Affairs/Communications/Sustainability leadership teams to ensure agreement on approach.
• Develop business/functional cross platform solution requirements that align with IT and business outcomes.
• Assure delivery of IT solutions and services, and owning resolution of delivery issues.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proven ability to establish and maintain long term relationship with senior leaders in both IT and business groups.
• Requires experience in enterprise level IT Organization.
• Excellent follow-through on detailed tasks.
• Must possess organizational proficiencies to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision.
• Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution.
• Experience in Service Delivery Management.
• Requires a thorough understanding of Scorecards, Dashboards, SOWs, SLAs, OLA's and Performance management Metrics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 10-12 years' IT experience with prior knowledge in partnering with Legal and/or Corporate Affairs Communications/ Sustainability functions to help define and deliver technology solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to absorb and analyze new technologies and business processes.
• Strong knowledge with enterprise applications used to support the business function.
• Proven ability to interface with personnel at all levels, including senior leadership executives.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Strong working knowledge of Contract Management software, Trademark and Patent Intellectual Property applications (IP Folio preferred), enterprise social media monitoring and listening capabilities (Brandwatch, Meltwater, Sprout, Hootsuite), Sustainability software and reporting (Netzero and Workiva preferred), and colleague engagement capabilities. Understanding of Sharepoint framework preferred.
• Gen AI - solid understanding of where Gen AI capabilities will generate process efficiency and/or drive long term value for the business units served.
• Industry/Business Knowledge - Should understand issues and trends facing the Animal Health industry in addition to issues specific to their aligned business units.
• Tech-Savvy - Should be able to speak intelligently on the advantages and disadvantages of a broad range of technologies and services provided.
• Legal and Corporate Affairs/Communications/Sustainability Management - Strong understanding of building compelling IT business cases that align with the business vision.
