Senior Python Developer

Location: Princeton, NJ

Responsibilities

• Providing robust hands-on implementation of Python frameworks as defined by the lead/architect in the team.
• Ensuring that solutions implemented adhere to the appropriate architectural and design standards.
• Utilizing in-depth knowledge of technical and business domain concepts and procedures within your area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.
• Enforcing industry standard SDLC best practices for effectively managing the codebase.
• Partnering with other software engineers, dev-ops, and production support staff to deliver robust software solutions.

Skills Required For This Role Include

• Extensive practical experience working with most, if not all, of the technologies listed below.
• Python development with hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Programming, including Design Patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Database connectors, Stream/Batch processing, and API Development.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, including creating scripts from scratch.
• Experience with SDLC/DevOps tools such as Git/BitBucket, CI/CD pipeline frameworks (e.g., Jenkins), SonarQube, JIRA, and secure coding toolkits.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Proven engineering experience building robust, scalable, and maintainable applications.
• 8+ years of application development experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python development in Linux/Windows environments.
• Expert knowledge of industry best practices and standards.

Education Requirements

• A graduate degree in either Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

• The ability to collaborate effectively in a large global team and influence key architectural decisions.
• The ability to work well under pressure.
