We are seeking a Java/Elastic Search Lead to become an integral part of our team! You will develop and code for various projects in order to advance software solutions.

Responsibilities:

You will be a member of the Software Resiliency Engineering (SRE) team. This team has this mission: Drive Resiliency into every facet of critical software from software development life cycle phases and multiple vectors (People, Process, Product).

Daily Responsibilities:
You will be working on the application called HF RunMonitor (HFRM for short). This application collects performance data from production systems for root cause triage (according to the urgency), diagnostics of production issues, and peak time performance bottlenecks.

You will be the key developer to aggregate the data being collected from HF RunMonitor and build an analytic and alerting platform using the ELK (Elastic Search, LogStash, and Kibana) Stack.
You should have prior experience in all aspects of the ELK stack including installing, setting up, developing plug-ins, parsing, mapping, data aggregation, shards, replicas, etc.

Must Have:

  • Development Experience with ElasticSearch (Splunk is similar)
  • Big Data experience (Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra, Kafka, Splunk)

Qualifications & Expertise:

  • Logstash: Manipulate input data through pipelines, filters, and plugins.
  • Elasticsearch analytics API, development of real-time searches based on complex patterns.
  • Kibana: Dashboards and visuals, Queries, search criteria and filters, logger tools. Experience with Graphene or other visualization tools is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with REST API design and architecture.
  • Programming Experience in Java, Python, or Perl.
  • Unix/Linux, Storage, and Network knowledge.
