HVAC Technician - Bolingbrook, IL
JLL is seeking an experienced HVAC technician with strong management and leadership skills to oversee a client site in Bolingbrook, Illinois. This role combines hands-on technical work with site management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, representing JLL
- Manage multiple vendors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and warranties
- Prepare and present monthly site reviews
- Perform on-site HVAC maintenance and repairs
- Oversee facility systems and equipment
Technical Duties:
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on various HVAC systems:
- Unit Heaters (Annual)
- Packaged Air Handling Units (Quarterly, Semi-annual, Annual)
- Water Heaters (Annual)
- HVAC Heat Pumps (Quarterly, Semi-annual, Annual)
- Maintain and repair:
- Dock Doors (Quarterly, Annual PMs)
- Fire Extinguishers (Monthly visual inspections, Annual vendor inspection)
- Light Fixtures (As needed)
- Emergency Lights (Monthly testing)
- Eyewash Stations (Monthly testing)
Vendor Management: Oversee and coordinate with vendors for:
- Janitorial services
- Turnstile maintenance
- Dock equipment
- Walk-off/floor mats
- Fire/Life/Safety systems
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Heating services
- Robopack (visual troubleshooting)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and client relations abilities
- Ability to work on-site full-time (no flex schedule available)
- Knowledge of facility management and vendor coordination
