Junior Controls Engineer - Eagle Technologies, a Convergix Automation Company

Eagle Technologies, is now part of the Convergix Automation Solutions family.
What would a typical day look like?

• Interface with Mechanical and Electrical engineering to develop robust and efficient to program designs
• Assist electricians in debugging machine wiring
• Write PLC programs for newly developed machines using Eagle base templates and programming standards
• Debug powered on machines to verify mechanical and programming functionality meets customer’s requirements and Eagle’s standards of quality.
• Interface directly with customers during weekly meetings to detail progress and answer questions

What qualifies you for this opportunity?

• 1-3 of Industrial PLC programming experience
• Proficient in Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Understanding of custom industrial machine design
• Reliable transportation and an ability to travel; although this position is focused on local clients, you should have the ability to travel within US and Canada

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
• Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally lifts or move up to 25 pounds
