Responsibilities
The Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a hematologist with a clinical and research focus in acute leukemia and high-risk myeloid neoplasms.
The Division of Hematology includes over fifty board-certified hematologists and scientists offering highly skilled care and cutting-edge research, including access to clinical trials, Blood & Marrow Transplant (BMT), Chimeric Antigen Receptor-T (CAR-T) cell therapy, and other immune effector cell therapies. The Acute Leukemia and Myeloid Neoplasm (ALMN) group is a specialized, multidisciplinary group of physicians and allied health staff across the three Mayo Clinic campuses in Minnesota, Arizona, and Florida who support and care for patients with myeloid malignancies (including acute leukemia, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, and high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome). Members of the disease group include staff from Hematology, BMT, and Hematopathology. The Rochester group comprises of 14 physicians and physician scientists, some of whom are also part of the BMT Group at Mayo Clinic. The group boasts an established biobank, clinical database, a robust clinical trials unit, and a significant translational and basic science program. The candidate will be able to leverage support from all of these facilities and faculties. Mayo Clinic in Rochester also prioritizes education and supports an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Hematology/Medical Oncology and specialized advanced fellowships in Myeloid Malignancies and BMT.
The Division of Hematology is looking for an exceptional clinician and researcher to lead clinical trials in aggressive myeloid neoplasms and become an integral part of a state-of-the-art practice in myeloid malignancies. A focus and interest in premyeloid conditions (CHIP and germline workup) is preferred. The position will require active and significant participation in clinical duties, including the care of patients with myeloid malignancies and premyeloid conditions.
