Would you like to help the AWS WW Professional Services (ProServe) business at Amazon Web Services (AWS) more effectively support customers? Do you have the business background necessary to manage a Partner Focused Governance Risk and Compliance function?

AWS WW Professional Services (ProServe) is building a Partner Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (PGRC) team that will support the overall worldwide ProServe practice of rules, policies, and standards that guide business decisions. The role will develop and pilot strategies and provide governance structures with audit inspection that ultimately impact how we manage and report operational risk to the ProServe Business.

You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive global initiatives and KPIs, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done! Maturity, high judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

The successful candidate will have hands-on operations management experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent business judgment. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where tactical and strategic activities are driven in parallel, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Key job responsibilities

This role will drive improvements in operational risk oversight, challenge, and reporting by connecting drivers of future trends to historical behavior, creating operational risk frameworks and models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis. As a GRC specialist, you will coordinate with stakeholders across risk management and lines of business to manage the sequence of delivery and intent, build requirements, and execute against strategy. You will also:

  1. Oversee multiple Partner projects and programs concurrently;
  2. Provide risk analysis and consulting to cross-functional business areas, providing guidance to implement risk mitigation plans, compliant execution strategies, and business growth opportunities;
  3. Own and lead business-wide initiatives aimed at improving team approaches, team engagement, and/or our underlying risk policies and processes;
  4. Manage and continually refine the Partner Governance inspection and audits for ProServe.
