Job Description
In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the automotive and mobility sector of the company. The position will report to the senior attorney responsible for coordination of the mobility legal team in the United States and will require the ability to effectively manage numerous, diverse projects at the same time, involving contract drafting and negotiation and business consulting. The candidate must be a self-starter and have an ability to effectively work with all levels within the organization and collaboratively with our global colleagues. Key job responsibilities will include:
- Advise and consult with business, engineering, sales, and legal teams within the mobility sector regarding a variety of commercial issues;
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry-specific regulations and the automotive business clients to provide insight into legal issues that arise from the business;
- Negotiate and draft a wide range of contracts and provide expert advice across multiple business segments, including those relating to sales, distribution, SaaS, SaaP, marketing, and non-disclosure agreements in alignment with applicable laws and internal Bosch policies and directives;
- Work with legal and business teams to ensure compliance with legal obligations;
- Provide internal training on legal matters;
- Some travel, both domestic and international, may be required, as needed.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- J.D. from a U.S. accredited law school
- Member of Michigan bar in good standing or eligible for Michigan bar admission
- 3+ years of experience as a practicing commercial/transactional attorney
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years as an in-house counsel in a corporate environment with focus on mobility transactions
- Experience with software licensing topics and negotiations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
