SAIC has an opening for a Program Management Director in Reston, VA. SAIC is recognized as an IT leader in the Diplomacy and State Department spaces. This exciting opportunity will be supporting the unique mission needs of our foreign policy and State Department IT clients. We are seeking an individual to join the team who is fully committed to improving the effectiveness of diplomacy and foreign affairs programs and bringing the best innovation, implementation, and attitudes to bear to the position.

This position is a hybrid onsite/offsite role to include work in the National Capitol region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide day-to-day support of strategy, business process, organizational improvement, and consulting services in the State Department, diplomacy, and foreign affairs arenas.
  2. Manage staff and processes of large-scale information technology-based program.
  3. Analyze effectiveness of systems, training programs, and employee engagement.
  4. Support documentation of findings.
  5. Support strategy and future business efforts.
  6. Present findings and freely share ideas to make client functionality better.
  7. Manage teams and programs for clients in the diplomacy space, including ability to lead and support discussions on strategic planning in foreign protection, visa processing, passport processing, mission-based IT, and building long-lasting strategies for success.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in related field and 15+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree and 13+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  2. Familiarity with State Department mission and functions.
  3. Familiarity with strategic planning and starting new initiatives.
  4. Experience in systems planning and documentation as well as presenting of findings to executive-level staff.
  5. Hands-on experience with teambuilding, results-oriented metrics planning and fulfillment.
  6. Knowledge of budgets, planning, requirements management and definition, and outcome-oriented resource management.

Clearance Requirements:

Candidate must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance. Active Secret or Top Secret clearance highly desired.
