Job Description

Trusted Space is seeking a Software Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree or higher and 4-15 years’ experience to join our team.

  • Supports program objectives to include software development collaboration with prime on-site in a hybrid work environment.
  • Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
  • Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
  • Confirms design mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and verifies implementation.
  • Participates as a Subject Matter Expert in internal review of software components and systems.
  • Applies and champions the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of technical engineering products.
  • Provides leadership and/or direction and/or supervision to lower level employees and teams.
  • Keeps abreast of technology trends and champions new ideas and process improvements.
  • Uses data structures, software engineering, OOD, C++ programming techniques and algorithms to write, debug and test code.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4 - 15 years in software engineering or related experience.
  • Several years’ experience with C++, preferably post C++11.
  • Must be proficient in object-oriented software development.
  • Ability to code in a LINUX/UNIX environment (Linux C++ toolchains).
  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Familiar with embedded development (e.g. ARM64).
  • Familiar with Agile Methodology.
  • Cameo/Magicdraw/Rhapsody experience.
  • Experience with containerization (e.g. docker).
  • Database programming experience (e.g. mongodb).

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $128,500-$201,500. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, Inc. considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
