As a Civil Design Engineer in Santa Clarita, CA, you will have the chance to collaborate with a diverse team on significant, high-profile projects throughout the Los Angeles and Ventura County area.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE). While a California Professional Civil Engineer registration is preferred, it is not mandatory. A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in land development and/or public works is required, or an equivalent of eight (8) years of industry experience.

Additionally, qualified candidates should have at least two (2) years of experience supervising engineers, designers, and other project support personnel.

Candidates must demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Competence in developing grading and public improvement plans from conceptual design to final documentation to support residential, multi-family, and commercial projects.
  • Experience in preparing and processing technical studies and site plans to secure entitlements for land development projects.
  • Proficiency in creating Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for public infrastructure improvements, including streets, sewers, and storm drains.
  • Capability to conduct site assessments and perform engineering design studies that account for infrastructure needs and potential regulatory challenges.
  • Skill in preparing and processing regulatory plans.
  • Familiarity with navigating plans through the Los Angeles and Ventura County Public Works departments.
  • Ability to conduct constructability reviews.
  • Experience with a variety of construction support services.

Candidates must also possess knowledge of:

  • Jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures, preferably within the Los Angeles area.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam software is essential.
