Java Architect - Big Data – Contract – Phoenix or NY – $59.00 - $61.00/hr.

Our client is seeking a Java Architect - Big Data in Phoenix or NY.


Role Description


About the Role:

• Architecture Design: Design and review architecture for new software applications or enhancements to existing ones, ensuring alignment with the company’s technological strategy and business goals.

• Big Data Solutions: Develop and manage big data architectures, systems, and tools to handle large-scale data processing and storage.

• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.



Key Responsibilities:

• System Design: Create and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code and big data solutions.

• Data Management: Design and implement data processing systems, including ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.

• Integration: Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.

• Performance Optimization: Optimize and fine-tune big data systems for improved data collection and processing.

• Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory standards.



Skills & Requirements


Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java and big data technologies.

• Proficiency in Java, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and other big data technologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Pluses:

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus
