We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Iselin, NJ team!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Primary responsibility is to sell; to network and develop solid relationships and to establish the name of Atlas in the forefront of the minds of potential clients.
Leverages existing engagements to spawn new business in on-going profitable revenue growth for Atlas.
Establishes and proactively maintains strong professional relationships and credibility with planning and business executives across infrastructure agencies.
Build, monitors and orchestrates sales pipeline activities to advance, invest in or divest opportunities.
Plans, manages, and supervises proposal efforts in concert with the operations team.
Keeps abreast of the transportation and infrastructure industry and business challenges and leverages this knowledge to focus on direct sales activities.
Make cold calls as necessary or assigned, and report on progress as required.
Travel throughout the marketing territory to call on existing and potential customers to communicate Atlas' service capabilities to generate proposals and sales.
Meet with two to three new potential clients in the construction industry per week. This could include public and private owners/developers, architects, engineers, contractors, construction managers or others associated with current or future projects.
Working understanding of institutional sales processes: Go/No Go, Capture Planning, After Action Reviews
Meet monthly production requirements as determined by the company.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience with NJ and NY-Metro region private markets with public market experience a plus
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in sales, business development, marketing, or engineering in the NY Metro/Northern NJ region with industry-specific experience required.
Proven sales track record and established relationships in the NJ and NY-Metro A/E/C industry to enable revenue growth.
Bachelor’s Degree – Marketing or Business or Construction preferred.
Proven expertise and prior experience with clients & business development functions.
Motivated self-starter with good follow through during the entire sales cycle.
Excellent organizational and overall communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple tasks; possesses well defined time management skills.
Team player with the ability to work with the internal partners and service groups within the firm.
Sales skills are essential, including the ability to negotiate with experienced industry professionals with positive results.
Technical Requirements:
- Solid ability to read construction drawings and specifications and understand the interaction of construction schedules.
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Extensive local travel

Compensation:
$150,000 - $200,000 Yearly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
