As the IT Infrastructure Director, you will lead a team responsible for the ongoing maintenance of our Desktop/Server/Networking environment as well developing strategies and new solutions to deliver a world-class IT infrastructure.

How You Will Make an Impact

Data Center & Operations

  • Responsible for the strategy and day-to-day operation of our on-premises & cloud technology infrastructure which includes enterprise storage & compute, networking, telephony, and enterprise software solutions including O365.
  • Responsible for our Disaster Recovery program, ensuring that we meet our RPO and RTO objectives; this includes at minimum annual testing of the solution.
  • Responsible for execution of our patch management program, working closely with IT Security & Compliance, to ensure risk is mitigated.
  • Ensures all hardware and software are appropriately upgraded, supported, and in compliance with licensing.
  • Responsible for release management, ultimately enabling our engineering teams to bring solutions to market securely, efficiently, and confidently.
  • Champions automation throughout infrastructure to achieve maximum efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
  • Ensures all systems are appropriately monitored and that incidents are addressed in a timely manner; champions system metrics that reduce incident frequency and duration.
  • Ensures that IT Infrastructure can scale on demand to meet the needs of product and engineering.

Services

  • Responsible for our tier 1 Help Desk and the service experience of our policyholders, agents, and internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the acquisition, deployment, and maintenance of all desktop, audio/visual, and print/copy equipment used throughout our offices.
  • Ownership of the IT Infrastructure budget; develops strategies to effectively manage expense and maximize our returns on investments.
  • Effectively develops and manages vendor relationships to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Design, deploy, and report out on metrics that effectively measure HW & SW deployment efficiency, services & equipment experience, systems reliability, and cost to serve to drive continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure team.
  • Champions modern IT infrastructure practices and coaches the team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop staffing models and lead a team of professionals that execute on your strategy for IT infrastructure.

What You Will Bring

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science and 6 years of related experience including 2 years management experience
    • Or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 8 years related experience including 2 years management experience.
    • Or 10 years related experience including 2 years of management experience.
  • Mastery of computer science, infrastructure, and release management concepts.
  • Strong communication skills in explaining and championing IT infrastructure concepts.
  • Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional agility.
