Description:

Position Summary:
Research Assistant Professor will direct lab research under the leadership of the Lab PI. Responsibilities will include overseeing other lab staff, applying for grants, directing experiments, analyzing results, and writing manuscripts in collaboration with the Lab PI. Research in this lab is specific to animal models of Lung Sepsis.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Direct research experiments on models of lung sepsis.
  2. Conduct experiments.
  3. Analyze data.
  4. Draft results for publication.
  5. Apply for extramural funding.
  6. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should have a PhD or MD/PhD in molecular cell biology, microbiology, immunology, or relevant field of study. Candidates should have a strong publication record.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the field of innate immunity and inflammation is strongly preferred.
