Moore Colson is looking for dynamic Assurance Senior Manager (Manufacturing, Distribution, Transportation) to join our Assurance team in Atlanta. Assurance Senior Manager (Manufacturing, Distribution, Transportation) is responsible for a wide range of assignments including, but not limited to:

  • Responsible for all phases of an audit, review engagement, or other Assurance projects
  • Maintains contact with clients throughout the year, possessing a thorough knowledge of the client and all facets of client's business
  • Plans, schedules and staff's engagements while maintaining firm policies and procedures
  • Maintains familiarity of team qualifications and reviews team assignments
  • Reviews engagement letters and budgets for approval by Partners
  • Evaluates internal controls and work programs prepared by team
  • Cognizant to engagement budgets
  • Training and supervising staff and assisting in performance evaluations
  • Preparing financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare invoices to clients, communicates details of fees to clients, and assists in collection of overdue accounts
  • Assisting directors and partners with consulting projects.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
  • 6-8 years' experience in the business assurance/audit side of public accounting
  • Experience/Expertise in the Manufacturing, Distribution, Transportation industry.
  • Accounting undergrad degree, MBA preferred
  • Experience overseeing engagements, leading a team of professionals, and reviewing work papers and financial statements
  • Well-rounded knowledge of audit and accounting principles
  • Current CPA license required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite products
  • Proficiency with CCH Pro fx Engagement and IDEA, software is a plus
